Glenisla War Memorial TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF THE FOLLOWING NAMED WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919 GILBERT CLARK BROUGH Private 39490, 5th Battalion (Territorial Force), Border Regiment Killed in action on 28th August 1918. Age 20. Son of David and Isabella Brough, of Blackburn, Memus, Kirriemuir.
CHARLES DUNCAN Lance Corporal S/6294, "D" Company, 8th (Service) Battalion, Black Watch Killed in action on 25th September 1915. Age 31. Son of James and Jane Gellatly Duncan.
WILLIAM GRAHAM Private S/7996, 2nd Battalion, Black Watch Killed in action on 7th January 1916. Age 26. Son of David and Mary Milne Graham, of Dalvanie, Glenisla.
GILBERT McGILLIVRAY Private 29239, 6th (City of Glasgow) Battalion (Territorial), Highland Light Infantry Killed in action on 23rd August 1918. Age 22. Son of Gilbert and Ellen McGillivray, of Brewlands Bridge, Glenisla.
STEWART ROBERTSON OGILVY Private 202221, 4/5th (Angus & Dundee) Battalion (Territorial Force), Black Watch Killed in action on 19th August 1918. Age 38. Husband of Sarah M. B. Ogilvy, of Alyth, Perthshire.
JAMES DUNDAS OGILVY Private S/6008, 10th (Service) Battalion, Black Watch Died of wounds on 18th October 1915. Age 21. Son of Stewart and Isabella Anderson Ogilvy, of Easter Rayemie, Lintrathen, Kirriemuir.
JOHN ROBERTSON Long Service & Good Conduct Medal Captain, "Bankers Company", 4th (Queen's Edinburgh Rifles) Battalion (Territorial), Royal Scots Killed in action on 28th June 1915. Age 41. Son of Alexander Robertson, of "Holmiry", Glenisla; husband of Janet Ritchie Robertson, of 151 Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh. AND IN GRATEFUL RECOGNITION OF THOSE WHO SERVED.
