Forfar War Memorial

Forfar War Memorial, Balmashanner Hill, Forfar

"THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVER MORE"

ERECTED IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF FORFAR AND DISTRICT WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-18.

The Forfar War Memorial on Balmashanner Hill (55 feet in height and 65 feet to the apex of the turret) has no names inscribed upon it.

I have a copy of "Forfar & District In The War 1914-1919", compiled for the Forfar War Memorial Committee and published in 1921.  This lists all the war casualties and also the war service of men and women who participated in one way or another in the Great War.  If you are looking for a specific person from the Forfar area, please send your enquiry to me and I'll see if they are listed.
